Hey Huntress Family,

I just got back from an unforgettable hunting trip on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where my husband and I spent three intense days chasing after the elusive Sika deer. For those of you who haven’t experienced it, let me tell you—it’s no walk in the park! Every morning, we were up by 3:00 AM, navigating our way through the marshlands and pushing through until 11:00 PM each night, exhausted but exhilarated.

The journey to even reach the stands was a challenge in itself. It took a combination of an Argo, a boat ride, and plenty of marsh trekking—definitely not for the faint of heart! Walking through that marsh, feeling the ground shift beneath your boots, and hearing the quiet rustle of wildlife was something surreal. But the effort was absolutely worth it.

As the sun dipped down over the marsh each evening, the views were breathtaking. Some of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever witnessed! The golden glow reflecting on the water and painting the sky made every struggle and step feel like a privilege. It was a humbling reminder of the beauty in the wild, and why I feel so deeply connected to these moments.

And then, the grand finale: On the last evening, my husband and I doubled up on two beautiful Sika hinds (females). Sharing that moment together, after days of hard work and patience, was nothing short of amazing. It’s a memory we’ll hold onto for a lifetime.

I can’t wait to share more stories with you from this adventure, so stay tuned for another update coming soon!
